Western Springs resident Will Layden completed his Eagle Scout project this spring by building and installing 20 Wren Houses in various parks in town. Eighteen of them are inhabited at this time, providing a safe haven for the endangered species native to this area. Dispite having to deal with vandalism, Layden said, he has found this project very rewarding and hopes that other Western Springs residents will appreciate it. Layden will have his Eagle Scout ceremony this September.
